A Rare Must-Own Book

I am an artist and entrepreneur who agonized over the planning and budgeting of this business. There was a lot of anxiety... So many questions. I approached the owner of a paint-and-sip business. I told her that I was planning to start an enterprise like hers. She told me, quite flippantly, that it would cost me some fifty thousand dollars to start. I was, however, undeterred. I went onto my kindle, searched, came up on this book: PAINTING MY WAY TO SUCCESS by Anne Ruemler. This is a rare and wonderful woman: She tells EVERYTHING!!! Everything about starting a sip and paint business. Simply, and honestly written. This is a must-own for anyone who wants to start a sip and paint business. (Wish there were more stars I could have given it.)

It would be a good idea to read prior to making a business plan

THE PRAISE
This book is meant to be a very short read. The communication and writing style is clear. It will help you to materialize your thoughts for your business. It would be a good idea to read prior to making a business plan. It greatly helped me with understanding how much my initial supplies will cost for forecasting, how to set-up deal with restaurants owners, and lots of practical tips that I will be using when I start my Paint & Sip business.
THE CRITICISM
This book is not meant to be an in depth explanation or give lots of concrete details for writing your business plan or improving your company. The book comes across as more of a conversation that you would have with a Paint & Sip owner over coffee.
I have a B.S. in Business Management and I took as many Entrepreneurial courses as I could in college. I also ran a marketing/advertising/sales company for a little under 3 years. I feel this book does lack some business acumen. For example, the author mentions that she was a sole proprietorship. I can not think of any reason why a person would not pay the $25 to $100 required in most states to become an LLC and protect oneself legally. She lived in a small town of around 38,000 the marketing methods described in this book would be good, but a lot more would be required when competing in a large metropolitan area. I maybe a little overly critical due to my background. But again this book is meant to be a brief introduction. For that it is very helpful.

It provided much of the information I was looking for.

This book was very helpful for the information I was seeking. I didn't give the extra start because it was a little light on content.
However, I read through it in about an hour and got most of the information I was looking for.
I would recommend this to other people looking for additional information on the business model. It's worth the money spent and time saved "Googling" more info.
