A great short

A book that will keep you flicking through your kindle. Dana burkey knows how to be intense and hold back. She teases us through the pages so much so that you are willing the main character, Bre to open her envelope. Once opened Burkey again holds back will Bre or won't she?
A charming short story that I am sure will appeal to many teens and young adults. I read this with my KU subscription andI thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's fun, easy to read

This story was definitely what I was looking for in terms of a short and cute summer read. It's fun, easy to read, and perfect for the age group that it's directed towards. Bre is very relatable and the story definitely kept me reading all the way through.
I guess my issue with the book is that I was looking for a little bit more. The actual dare seems like a pretty big deal in this particular school. It's daunting enough for one girl to even cheat on the boy that she's been dating for two years because there are hazing like consequences to not following through like public humiliation, having your head shaved, etc. When Bre first received her dare she's pretty adamant that she doesn't want to do it regardless of the consequences because that's not how she wants her first kiss. I think it would have been nice to see Bre actually stick to her principles here instead of giving in to the peer pressure from her sister, friend, etc.
Overall I did enjoy reading the story and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and easy YA romance. It's a solid 3.5 stars and I can't wait to read more of Burkey's work!

Cute and Short Fun!

This was one of those super cute love stories that we all love and another win for Dana Burkey! I always enjoy Dana's books and look forward to her next ones!
